Ronald B. “Ron” Geer died on May 28, 2017 in Portland at the age of 79.
He was born on Dec. 28, 1937 in Condon to Jack and Margaret Powell Geer.
He was raised in Oregon and joined the United States Navy. During his career in the Navy, he served as a mechanic until his honorable discharge.
He was united in marriage to June Bjork on Oct. 17, 1964 in Tewksbury, Mass. They moved to Hermiston after Ron retired in 1974, where they have lived since. Ron was an avid pool player who enjoyed fishing, karaoke, tinkering and charcoal art.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, June Geer, Hermiston; daughters, Christine Fahlman, Troutdale, and Carol Geer and Jackie Geer, Hermiston; son, David Geer, Portland; sister, Gwynne, Lincoln City; grandchildren, Tiffanie, Blake and Logan; and great grandchildren, Aeris and Damon.
