Florence Coffelt
Florence Henley Coffelt, 94, of Hermiston, passed away on March 5, 2015.

Florence was born to William and Jane (Mason) Henley in Albuquerque, N.M., on Sept. 25, 1920. She was the eighth of 11 children, and as a child lived in Albuquerque, Chama, and Farmington, N.M. Florence was united in marriage to Marvin Boyd Coffelt and then in 1944 followed him to Paso Robles, Calif., and after his deployment overseas she moved to San Jose, Calif. After Marvin’s retirement in 1981 they moved to Hermiston where she resided until her death. Florence was a stay-at-home mom, raising her three children as well as welcoming every child in the neighborhood into her home. She loved caring for her grandchildren when they were young. Her greatest joy came from watching her children and grandchildren grow up to be thoughtful, successful, and caring adults. In the last few years of her life she enjoyed having her great granddaughter, Tatum Easterday, visit and laugh at her antics. Florence enjoyed gardening and watching birds.

She is survived by her children: Linda Davis (Jerry), Irrigon, Ronald Gene Coffelt, Hayden, Idaho, and Tommy Ray Coffelt (Dorothy), Hermiston; grandchildren, David Davis (Connie), Umatilla, Clifford Coffelt (fiancee Kristin Jeter), Frisco, Texas, Nicole Easterday (Nate), Hayden, Idaho, Travis and Eric Coffelt, Hermiston; great-granddaughter, Tatum Mae Easterday, Hayden, Idaho; numerous nieces and nephews scattered throughout New Mexico, Texas, Wyoming, & Washington, and her special nephew Michael Coffelt and his wife Cheryl of California.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; her parents; and all of her siblings.

At her request there will be no service.

A private family burial will be at the Hermiston Cemetery.
