The Hermiston High School chapter of the National Honor Society kicked off its toy/gift drive on Monday, Dec. 4. It continues through Dec. 15.
Items collected — valued at $5-$20 for ages 0-18 — will provide gifts for underprivileged children and teens living in transitional housing. The NHS chapter wants to give all students in Hermiston a positive Christmas and is requesting help from the community.
Toys, games, and gift cards can be dropped off at Hermiston High School, 600 S. First St. In addition, cash donations are accepted; NHS students will shop for the presents.
