After a two-week voting period by Hermiston High School students and staff, the design of HHS sophomore Elizabeth Herrera was selected from 12 submissions as the official logo for the Columbia Basin Student Homebuilders Program.
All HHS students were eligible to submit a design, and after the submission window closed, all designs were displayed with a ballot boxes in the high school commons for two weeks of voting.
As the designer of the selected logo, Herrera will receive a $500 scholarship, which she will receive upon graduation. Herrera is part of the Media Arts program, taking many classes within the subject, and she will be a member of the first CBSHP class.
