The holiday season is just around the corner and it’s time to get in touch with your inner Clark Griswold.
The city of Hermiston and Hermiston Chamber of Commerce are presenting the 2024 Land of Lights Home Decoration Contest, an opportunity for residents to showcase their holiday spirit in a friendly community-wide competition.
Hermiston residents are invited to decorate their homes for the holiday and enter the contest on the city’s website by Dec. 8. By joining in the fun, participants will not only light up their neighborhoods but also be featured on an interactive map, inviting the community to visit and experience the magic of Hermiston’s holiday season.
A panel of holiday judges will review the displays, and winners will be selected in two categories — Best Theme, and Best in Show. The results will be revealed on Dec. 13 during a community Land of Lights event at the Eastern Oregon Trade & Event Center (EOTEC).
Sponsored displays at the Land of Lights and Candy Cane Village at EOTEC are available for businesses and individuals interested in participating in the holiday spirit.
