The following are recent arrests made by the Hermiston Police Department:
June 11: Robert James Scaplehorn, 31, was cited and released on the 100 block of S.E. 10th Street Apartment B on a charge of tampering with a witness.
June 10: Shanice Lanea Billy, 29, was arrested on the 900 block of E. Ridgeway Avenue and charged with third-degree theft (shoplifting less than $100).
June 9: Armando Medina Verdin, 23, was arrested near W. Hermiston Avenue and N.W. 2nd Street and charged with misdemeanor failure to appear.

June 9: Jesus Ramos Diego, 37, was arrested on the 1300 block of N. First Street and charged with second-degree criminal trespass.
June 9: Gentry Sherel, 38, was arrested on the 300 block of S. First Street and charged with strangulation (simple assault) and fourth-degree assault (simple assault).
June 9: Gentry Sherel, 38, was arrested near W. Orchard Avenue and S.W. 11th Street and charged with felony failure to appear and misdemeanor unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
June 8: Toni Lynn Warnock, 61, was arrested on the 1300 block of N. First Street and charged with misdemeanor failure to appear.
June 8: Jessy M. Duran, 30, was arrested on the 1400 block of N. First Street and charged with second degree criminal trespass.
June 8: Ismael Emiliano Pasillas, 18, was arrested on the 300 block of S. First Street and charged with unlawful use of a weapon (shoot in prohibited area), first-degree criminal mischief (not vandalism), reckless endangering, reckless driving, and attempt to elude/flee.
June 8: Mario Mendez Hernandez, 36, was arrested near E. McKinney Avenue and S.E. Fourth Street and charged with DUII (controlled substance).
June 7: Amanda Renee Cazares, 37, was arrested on the 700 block of S. First Street and charged with misdemeanor failure to appear.
June 7: Eleuterio Salas Garay, 53, was arrested on the 300 block of W. Theater Lane and charged with misdemeanor failure to appear and misdemeanor probation violation.
