The Tri-City Herald is reporting a second ‘person of interest’ has been arrested in Umatilla in connection with the murders of three Pasco residents earlier this month.
The Herald is reporting that Cristian R. Hurtado, 23, was recently arrested by the Hermiston Police Department in Umatilla and is at the jail on $50,000 bail for failing to appear in court on an unspecified charge.
According to the Herald, Hurtado has been questioned in connection with the case and is one of several persons of interest.
Another person of interest, Francisco Javier Resendiz Miranda, told detectives Hurtado was with him and the victims at the gas station Friday night, according to court documents.
Surveillance footage from the Umatilla Pik-A-Pop shows Abigail Torres-Renteria, David Perez-Saucedo and Victoria Torres being “picked up” by several people, including one with a weapon, court documents said. The victims were at the gas station around 10:30 p.m. Friday, just hours before they were found shot to death in a rural cornfield in Benton County.
