A stolen vehicle investigation led to the arrests of five Hermiston residents on Sunday.
Hermiston police officers conducted a “knock and talk” at 1735 N.E. Second St., late Sunday evening after receiving information about a possible stolen vehicle located at the residence. While at the residence, officers discovered a stolen 2002 GMC Envoy which was being dismantled. The vehicle had been reported stolen on Aug. 21. The five people arrested were:
• Dale R. Burnside, 53, 1735 N.E. Second St., on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
• Justin K. Burnside, 31, 1735 N.E. Second St., on a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
• Kelsea K. Rodriguez, 23, 1735 N.E. Second St., on a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
• Terrance W. Seibel, 42, 80873 Cactus Drive, on a charge of possession of a stolen vehicle.
• Jeremiah I. Ayers, 23, 150 N.E. Eighth Place, on charges of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and first-degree criminal mischief.
Firearms were also seized as evidence, according to Hermiston Police Chief Jason Edmiston. Ayers was charged a month ago with possession of a stolen vehicle in a separate case.
Hermiston police detectives are continuing the investigation and are working with other law enforcement agencies.
