Hermiston police officers will soon be sporting new uniforms to go along with a new patch.
Hermiston Police Chief Jason Edmiston said the new uniforms are expected to arrive by the first of June.
“We’ve had the same uniforms for as long as I’ve known,” Edmiston said. “The new uniforms will provide us with a little better professional image.”
The new patch for the uniforms will feature the Hermiston Butte in the background and an agriculture field in the foreground. The Hermiston Police Department initially worked with Hermiston High School graphic art students on the patch, and Limelight Design developed the final design.
