The Hermiston Police Department typically provides brief recaps of its weekend activities on its Facebook page. This week, however, Cpt. Travis Eynon is providing readers with “a sample of a little bit deeper dive into what we did this weekend,” he said. “This is a very time-consuming process, so I can’t promise we’ll give you this much detail every week. I just thought you’d be interested in what else we do over a weekend.”
Over the weekend, the HPD did the following:
- Took 1 burglary report
- Responded to 3 alarm calls
- Handled 2 civil issues
- Responded to 3 reports of suicidal people
- Responded to 2 people having other mental crisis
- Handled 5 noise complaints
- Responded to 9 reports of suspicious activity/circumstances
- Handled 3 dog complaints
- Assisted with 1 funeral escort
- Responded to 2 domestic disturbances
- Responded to 2 other disturbances
- Conducted 1 welfare check
- Took 1 report of unauthorized entry to a motor vehicle (car prowl)
- Handled 1 abandoned vehicle/parking complaint
- Took 1 report of a possible sex crime
- Took 2 hit and run reports
- Handled 2 motor vehicle crashes
- Took 1 theft/shoplift report
- Handled 2 reports of trespassing
- Arrested 5 people for outstanding warrants
- Arrested 2 people for disorderly conduct
- Arrested 2 for DUIIs
- Arrested 2 misdemeanor suspended drivers
- Made about 70 traffic stops
- Conducted around 8 citizen field contacts
