“Wow! What a weekend,” said Hermiston Police Department Capt. Travis Eynon. Here’s a rundown of the HPD cases from night shift Friday through night shift Sunday:
- Responded to multiple calls for trees down, power outages, vehicles and property damaged from flying debris, etc.
- 2 dog-at-large complaints
- Arrested two people in separate, unrelated incidents for interfering with a peace officer and one of those also was arrested for offensive littering
- 1 DUII arrest
- 2 criminal mischief reports
- Arrested 2 people for criminal trespass
- 1 unattended death investigation
- 3 reports of theft, two of these resulted in an arrest
- Responded to 3 motor vehicle crashes
- 1 report of an assault
- 1 found property report
“Overall, the storm kept us really busy and unfortunately, the rest of our normal activities didn’t seem to dip much,” said Eynon.
