Student registration for the 2015-16 school year will take place Aug. 3-7 for the Hermiston School District.
Previously enrolled elementary and middle school students returning to the district this fall are not required to register at the school, unless the family has moved over the summer. However, if parent/guardian contact information has changed (e.g. address, phone, emergency contact, email), contact your student’s school front office with updates. HSD open houses will be Monday, Aug. 24. Students are encouraged to attend for families to meet teachers and students to check their locker.
Elementary students new to the district, or new to a building, may be registered at the individual buildings. Front office staff will available from 8 to 11:30 a.m. to assist in the process. Registration for new middle school students will be held at the respective middle school buildings from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If parents/guardians require a different time, they are invited to contact the buildings directly to schedule an appointment (building contact numbers follow below). Translation services are available if Spanish interpretation assistance is needed.
Parents or guardians enrolling new students are asked to provide a record of the student’s birth (i.e. birth certificate, baptismal certificate, or passport); proof of residence/physical address; health records; and previous report cards or transcripts to complete the process.
Registration for Hermiston High School students will occur on set days during that week from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 4 to 7 p.m., as follows:
• Freshman, Monday, Aug. 3
• Seniors, Tuesday, Aug. 4
• Juniors, Wednesday, Aug. 5
• Sophomores, Thursday, Aug. 6
High school students new to the district may register on Friday, Aug. 7, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
When registering a middle or high school-aged student, fees may be paid onsite by credit card, check, or cash. Fee payments may also be made online through InTouch.
