Interstate 84 has re-opened – both eastbound and westbound lanes – in Eastern Oregon between Ontario and Pendleton.
The highway had been closed earlier Wednesday morning due to dense fog and extreme winter conditions near Cabbage Hill and Meacham.
The Oregon Department of Transportation is cautioning motorists who are planning to travel in the area to be aware of and prepared for winter driving conditions including packed snow, spots of ice and fog in areas between La Grande and Pendleton.
