Ines M. Coria died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 at Oregon Health Science University Hospital in Portland at the age of 54.
She was born on May 25, 1959 at Rancho El Desmonte, Michoacan, Mexico to Baltazar Mendoza and Isabel Garcilazo.
She moved to Hermiston in 1975 and worked as a migrant worker at Agri-Northwest, Bud Rich, Mikami Brothers, Lamb Weston, Simplot for 15 years, and finally at Canyon Ridge Winery. She met Jose Coria in 1980 and they were married on Oct. 4, 1992 at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston where she was a member. She was a Catechism teacher and an Eucharistic Minister at the church. She proudly earned her GED in 2005. She enjoyed her family, cooking, cleaning, and gardening.
She is survived by husband, Jose of Umatilla; daughter, Jesica Rodriguez of Umatilla; son, Aaron Shilhanek of Hermiston; brothers, Encarnacion Mendoza of Irrigon and Felimon Mendoza of Mexico City, Mexico; sisters, Camerina Mendoza of Mexico City, Mexico, Enedina Mendoza of Hermiston, Laura Mendoza of Hermiston, Bertha Mendoza of Mexico City, Mexico, Feliciana Mendoza of Mexico City, Mexico, and Inez Sanguino of Umatilla; and five grandchildren, Celeste, Carisa, Jozua, Landon and Maxem.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Manuel Mendoza.
Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at 7 p.m., at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at 1 p.m., at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston. Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery.
