Irrigon Firefighters Holding Community Chili Cookoff on Saturday

The Irrigon Firefighters are holding the second annual Community Chili Cookoff this Saturday, Nov. 30 at the fire station, 705 N.E. Main Ave. The event goes from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Admission is $3 per person and includes a bowl and spoon, cornbread, and one door prize ticket for drawings throughout the event. The general public is invited to bring up to three pots of chili per entrant. The entry fee is $20 per pot. First, second and third place cash prizes will be awarded.

Proceeds go to the Irrigon Firefighters general fund and help to support community outreach programs. For cookoff rules, go to the event’s Facebook page.
