Irrigon Marina Park is the place to be all day long on Saturday, July 29 for the 33rd annual Irrigon Watermelon Festival.

From 6:30 to 10 a.m., you can start the day with breakfast hosted by the Irrigon Moose Lodge. Then the downtown parade starts at 10.

Breakfast will surely wear off, so you can replenish your energy throughout the day at the food booths along the way. And, of course, there will be tempting craft booths offering artisans’ wares.

There will be a car show, and Life Flight, Air National Guard and the United States Coast Guard will have helicopters on display.

The day will be filled with lots of activities and entertainment, including kids’ games, a water slide and dunk tank, various live performances – and the city leader seed-spitting contest!

The event is funded by Bellinger Farms, Morrow County Unified Recreation District, and the Irrigon Watermelon Festival.
