The Irrigon Library, 490 N.E. Main Ave., will host a free Mental Health First Aid training workshop on Wednesday, Sept. 25. The event goes from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The training is designed to promote mental wellness; grow participant knowledge of signs, symptoms and risk factors of mental illnesses; identify types of professional and self-help resources for individuals with a mental illness; and increase participant confidence, empathy and skills for helping individuals in crisis.
