Irrigon will celebrate its 60th anniversary as an incorporated city with an “Irrigon Proud” parade on Saturday, Feb. 25.
The activities get under way at 3 p.m. with the parade at A.C. Houghton. Participants are encouraged to decorate a car and join the parade.
Other activities get started at 3:30 p.m. at City Hall and the library. At 3:45 p.m., winners of the essay and poster contests will be announced and reception with cake will take place at 4:15 p.m.
Food will be available throughout the day by Judy Scott’s Chuckwagon.
The evening will culminate with a bonfire from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Irrigon Marina Park
