James J. Cragun died on May 27, 2017 in Hermiston at the age of 38.
He was born on Sept. 23, 1978 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Dave and Beverly Evans Cragun.
He lived in Pocatello, Idaho throughout his childhood and graduated from Highland High School in the class of 1996. After high school, he moved to Hermiston and had lived in Eastern Oregon since. He worked as a welder in the Hermiston and Pendleton areas through much of his career.
He enjoyed playing city league basketball and football.
He is survived by his parents, Dave and Beverly Cragun; daughter, Braelyn Cragun; sons, Jaden and Kaeden Cragun; and sister, Cynthia Bailey.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Burns Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Echo Cemetery. A barbeque will be held at his parents’ home at 131 Dale St. in Echo after the cemetery service.
