James Eugene Giusti of Umatilla passed away at his home with his family by his side on Jan. 22, 2022 at the age of 65.
He was born on Jan. 21, 1957 in Lovelock, Nev.
James grew up in Nevada, living in Carson City and Lovelock, where he graduated from high school. While in high school, he was on the wrestling team and served as the team captain.
James began working in construction at a young age when he and his father started Giusti and Son Construction Company. His work in the construction field took him to many different areas. In 1979 he moved to Eastern Oregon, living in Pendleton for many years before settling in Umatilla in 2004. He was a self-employed contractor throughout his career, building homes and doing concrete work, as well as home remodels.
James enjoyed going fishing, elk hunting, trips to the casino and riding his Honda Shadow motorcycle.
He is survived by his daughters, Christina (Vicky) Hernandez and Kimberly Tolle; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda; his parents; and a brother, Mike Giusti.
No services are planned at this time.
