Janet M. Larsen of Boardman died on Feb. 1, 2023 in Pendleton at the age of 71.
She was born on Jan. 7, 1952 in The Dalles.
Janet was raised and attended schools in Hood River. She was united in marriage to Clayton Larsen on Dec. 2, 1971 in Skamania County, Wash. They lived in The Dalles before moving to Boardman in 1992, where they have lived since. Janet spent many years working as a caregiver to others. She enjoyed fishing, hunting and trips to the coast.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Clay Larsen, Boardman; daughter, Misty Larsen, Boardman; son, Shane Boggs, Wapato, Wash.; sister, Michelle Renee Rawlins, Hood River; Muriel Jane Darr, Boardman; granddaughter, Georgette Clayton Boggs; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Dean Cooper and Rick Leonard.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston.
A reception will follow at the Boardman Grange Hall.
