Janet L. Weyant of Irrigon, former Seattle resident, died on Jan. 27, 2020 in Hermiston at the age of 83.
She was born on May 7, 1936 in Seattle to John and Riene Sheehan.
Janet graduated from Lincoln High in Seattle in 1955. She worked in civil service most of her working career. She lived and worked in the greater Seattle area until moving to Irrigon in 2009.
She loved to volunteer, privately in her younger years at the Salvation Army with husband Lewis and later at Stokes Landing Senior Center in Irrigon, until she could not do it anymore.
Janet is survived by her sons, Jerry and Jeff, and daughter, Judy. She was known as Grandma J to six grandchildren, Jerry, Jason, Jessica, Jacob, Kennedy and Peter, and 11 great grandchildren, Liam, Sean, Fiona, Zoe, Austin, Eli, Dakota, Keegan, Nico, Sophia and Nathan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis and her sisters, Jackie and Jeri.
A private family interment will be in Seattle, Wash.
