Norma “Jean” Hendry of Hermiston died on Jan. 10, 2020 in Hermiston at the age of 90.
She was born on July 16, 1929 in Bedford, Iowa to Frank and Gladys McCarty Heatherington.
Jean was united in marriage to Lawrence Hendry on Sept. 3, 1957 in Stevenson, Wash. She enjoyed gardening, music, canning, four-wheeling and traveling. After Lawrence retired, they spent over 10 years snow-birding in Bouse, Ariz.
She is survived by her daughters, Lorie Hendry-Vincent, Hermiston and Suse Holt, Umatilla; sons, Jess McNeese and Raymond McNeese, both of Hermiston; sister, Doris Book, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband; a son, David Hendry; two brothers, Buster and Marion; and two sisters, Arlene and Thelma.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on April 10, 2020 at the Mt. View Cemetery, Corbett.
