Jeanne Cecile Bloom of Vancouver, Wash., passed away in Vancouver on June 3, 2023 at the age of 86.
She was born on March 21, 1937 in Pendleton to Antoine and Barbara Ramos.
When she was a child, Jeanne’s family relocated to Echo where she attended school. She married Elmer Berry in Echo in 1953 and from this union four children were born. The couple divorced several years later.
Jeanne married Jim Bloom on Oct. 3, 1975 in Richland, Wash. The couple moved to Vancouver, Wash. soon after being married, where they resided until moving to Hermiston in 1992. Jeanne worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for a variety of businesses including several irrigation districts and Christensen Yacht Company in Vancouver.
Jeanne was an avid reader and a wonderful cook and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved children, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Cecil Berry, Greg (Susan Knowles-) Berry, Ron Berry and Tana (Shane Valentine) Harding; two stepchildren, Debbie (Jerry) Brandt and Bob Bloom; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; two sisters, Georgana Dugan and Judy Mack; and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Bloom and brother, Tony Ramos.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Burns Mortuary of Hermiston.
Burial will follow in the Echo Cemetery. Family suggest memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
