Jeffory Michael Rauch passed away after a motorcycle accident in Idaho on June 26, 2022.
He was born on Nov. 16, 1970 in Pendleton to Janis Baker and Stanley Rauch.
He attended grade school in Irrigon and high school in Heppner. He also attended schools in Utah and California, graduating from high school in Aptos, Calif. in 1989. After high school he worked as a union laborer before entering the U.S. Navy. After his honorable discharge from the Navy he joined the National Guard, where he served for many years until retiring in December 2019.
Jeffory held many truck and heavy equipment operator positions. He settled in Ridby, Idaho, where he worked for RC Heavy Haul for several years before joining the crew at Bonneville County Road and Bridge in 2018.
Jeffory married Donna Barnett in July 1995. The couple later divorced but remained very strong friends.
He is survived by his constant companion, Snoopy; mother, Janis (Stephen) Palmer; father, Stanley Rauch; brother, Jason (Norma) Rauch; sister, Jennifer (Charles) Peck; step-brother, Michael (Liza) Murrell, step-sister, Wendy (Matt) Brown; grandmother, Clarice Baker; and numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Clarence Baker and Irvin and Mildred Rauch.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Echo Cemetery.
