He was born June 5, 1932 in Birmingham, Ala. Jerry was raised and attended schools in California. He enlisted in the United States Army and served in the special forces in Vietnam until his honorable discharge. Jerry then served as a firefighter and later as a police officer for several years before moving to Oregon in the mid 1990s. He moved to Umatilla in the late 1990s and went to work at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in asset protection until retiring in 2011. Jerry was united in marraige to Sadie Haines on June 23, 2003 in Irrigon. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing on the computer, and visiting with friends.
He is survived by his wife: Sadie Curl, Stanfield; Lavinia Camacho, Ronan, MT; and 2 granddaughters.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
