Jerry Lee Dyer of Hermiston died on Jan. 28, 2022 in Richland, Wash. at the age of 86.
He was born on May 30, 1935 in Hermiston.
Jerry was raised in Hermiston. He was united in marriage to Loretta M. Moyer on Jan. 15, 1955 in Hermiston. Jerry worked in the laborers union on construction projects for several years and later in grounds maintenance for the Army Corps of Engineers at McNary Dam.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, tinkering, and most of all, time with family. Jerry had been a member of the Hermiston Eagles Lodge.
He is survived by sons, Rick, Darrell, Duane and Jerry, all of Hermiston; daughter, Katherine Ramirez, Hillsboro; brother, Harry Dyer Jr., Hermiston; sister, Irene Walchli, Hermiston; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Loretta Dyer; his parents; a daughter, Ronda Dyer Brockett; a granddaughter, Mackenzie Dyer; a grandson, Duane Dyer; and brothers, Stan, Dave and Dick Dyer.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Hermiston Cemetery.
