Jerry R. Fisher died on Aug. 12, 2019 at his home in Stanfield when he lost his battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 68.

He was born on Nov. 26, 1950 in North Platte, Neb. to Norma A. James and Tommy Jefferson Fisher.

Jerry worked hard his entire life. He was an entrepreneur who owned many businesses over the years.

He loved traveling, hunting, fishing and mining. His traveling adventures exposed him to many places that he loved. This inspired him to purchase property in various locations, such as Oregon, Nebraska, Texas and Alaska, where he could enjoy his family and his hobbies.

Jerry was a collector of many things such as ball cards, coins and old cars. One of his favorite collections was his classic cars. He was an active member in Hermiston Classics Car Club, where he enjoyed parades, car shows and cruise-ins. He enjoyed chatting with friends, listening to oldies and winning trophies and raffles at events. In all things throughout his life, Jerry was most happy when he was surrounded by his family. His grandchildren had a very special place in his heart. They meant the world to him, and he loved sharing his life, hobbies and orneriness with them. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Sheryl; his children, Cassandra (Richard) Winslow, Jamie (Michelle) Fisher, Sara Fisher and Jessica (Casey) Kadner; his 10 grandchildren, Jazmin, Tyler, Tyee, Aliyah, Danika, Isaak, Kaia, DeLainey, Norah and Emmett; three brothers; two sisters; as well as many other family members and friends.

Services were held on Aug. 15, 2019 in Hermiston and Aug. 19, 2019 in Nebraska.
