JoAnn Grubbs Glass Williams of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away at Woodland Assisted Living on April 3, 2021 of natural causes at the age of 87.
JoAnn was born in Huntsville, Ark. on June 15, 1933 to Lester and Mozelle Ledbetter.
She graduated from Huntsville High School, Huntsville Ark. JoAnn later attended CSI, where she graduated with a degree in social work in 1971.
JoAnn married Gene Grubbs on June 22, 1950 in Huntsville, Ark. After a few years, they moved to Sterling, Colo. and then to Buhl, Idaho. They finally made their home in Twin Falls with their four children. JoAnn and Gene were divorced in 1965. After their divorce, they were able to have a good relationship for the sake of their children. On Jan. 2, 1975 JoAnn married Jim Glass in Nevada. They lived in Battle Mountain, and upon Jim’s retiring they moved to Umatilla. JoAnn was widowed in 2001. On Feb. 26, 2007 JoAnn married John Williams in Umatilla. JoAnn was widowed in 2013. In March 2014 JoAnn moved back to Twin Falls.
JoAnn enjoyed working in her yard and planting lots of roses. Mom enjoyed doing any kind of crafting and reading books. Mom and Dad went camping and salmon fishing up north. We went to Salmon Dam a lot, but Mom hated going fishing. Mom and Jim enjoyed traveling with their friends, Jim and Jean Miller. Mom hated going fishing while her children were growing up until she married John and caught a huge catfish. Mom and John went fishing and rafting down Hells Canyon.
While in Umatilla, Mom attended the First Christian Church in Hermiston. Mom was so happy after moving back to Twin Falls, getting to have a closer relationship with her grandchildren. After moving to Twin Falls, Mom went to Amazing Grace Fellowship with her daughter, Anna when her health
allowed. Mom enjoyed Lorna Waldenar and Susie Boer from AGF coming to see her and attending the women’s conference.
She is survived by her four children, Anna Muse, Randy Grubbs, Nancy (Jerry) Hamilton of Twin Falls and Danny Grubbs of Buhl; one sister, Sharl Lynn (John) Poole of North Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Ledbetter of Huntsville, Ark. and Shirley Ledbetter Miller of Missouri; one brother-in-law, Blackie Canion of Arkansas; 11 grandchildren, Rick (Amy) Muse, Kevin Muse, Kevin Grubbs, John Grubbs, Heather (Gio) Dover, Nicolaus (Brenda) Banyai, Megan Banyai, Veronica Winkler, Raymond (Kamree) Banyai, Kori Hamilton and McKinzey Hamilton; 22 great grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Adrianna, Darius, Mason, Eli, Meriha, James, Cameron, Rachel, Caleb, Nicolaus, Jasmin, Damian, CJ, Rory, Kalissa, Clayton, Boston, Danica, Landon and Jaycee; one great-great granddaughter, Legacey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
JoAnn was preceded in death by all of her husbands; her parents; one sister, Betty Canion; three brothers, Bill, Luke and Bob; one sister-in-law, Vista; one granddaughter, Randi Banyai; one daughter-in-law, Penny Grubbs; and two sons-in-law, Larry Muse and Jan Banyai.
Viewing will be held at Parke’s Funeral Home in Twin Falls on April 9, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Twin Falls Cemetery.
