John Keith Nichols of Echo passed away peacefully on Oct. 7, 2020 in his home with family at the age of 64.
He was born on Dec. 27, 1955 in Merced, Calif. to Ronald and Marjorie Nichols.
John spent his career as an owner-operator in the trucking industry. He held a trainer and breeder license for equestrians. He loved agriculture, livestock, and being a part of the 4-H Club. John won awards for his dairy and Jersey project work in livestock. He was commended on his excellent participation and wholesome attitude towards his many projects.
John enjoyed listening to music such as Merle, Waylon and Hank, watching the television series “Yellowstone,” and simply being with his family.
He is survived by his three daughters and their significant others, Anthony and Jennifer Dellarte, Ricardo and Amy Curiel, and Michael Spahr and Kayla Nichols; seven grandchildren; Jayden, Joseph, Dominic, Arianna, Little Ricky, Thomas and Alexandria; father, Ronald Sr.; sisters, Connie and Marilyn; and former wife and lifelong friend, Susan Escobar.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie and brother, Ronald.
A private family celebration will be held.
