Jolene E. Tappo of Hermiston died on March 17, 2023 in Hermiston at the age of 73.
She was born on Nov. 18, 1949 in Pendleton to William and Eleanora Tuning Combs.
Jolene loved her family more than anything. Her most treasured times were any activity that involved spending time with them. She also loved her church family at Oasis of Hope, her caregivers at Sun Terrace, and animals of all kinds.
She is survived by daughters, Lorri (Richard) Stephens and Kimberly (Michael) Gibson; son, Richard (Tisha) Horton; grandchildren, Maria Tappo, Leo Tappo, Elias Tappo, Daniel Tappo, Juanita Tappo, Chrystal (Kris) Harrison, Veronica Stephens, Samantha Hampton, Emma Williamson, Taylor Horton, Ricky (Megin) Horton and Kalee Horton; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Jolene was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Tappo.
A celebration of life gathering will be on Tuesday, March 21, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Kim and Michael’s home. Casual dress, light food provided. Contact any family member if you need directions.
