Joseph Scott Morancie of Boardman passed away on Aug. 29, 2017 at the age of 53.
He was born on Dec. 6, 1963 in Maine to Bernard and Sallie Morancie.
He lived in Brewer, Maine throughout his childhood, where he attended school and graduated from high school. After high school, he enlisted in the Air Force, where he served from 1985 through 1988.
He lived for much of his adult life in Titusville, Fla., where he operated a food cart at a golf course for many years. He also resided in Jacksonville, Fla. and New Bedford, Mass. before moving to Boardman two years ago.
Joe enjoyed golfing and was a big Alice Cooper fan. He was an avid ghost hunter and was known by many friends and family as “Joe Paranormal.”
He is survived by his fiancé, Tracy Swindler; mother, Sallie Morancie; daughters, Jessica Zivny, Toni Morancie and Cassidy Morancie; sister, Teresa Morancie; and grandchildren, Justice, Haven and Wyatt.
Viewing is planned on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Burns Mortuary of Hermiston, 685 W. Hermiston Ave.
