Kay worked as an insurance agent and realtor, but was a farmer at heart. He planted a big garden every year and loved to share what he grew. He demonstrated commitment and devotion to the Gospel of Jesus Christ always, as he lovingly served others. Eagerly sharing this message to others was a great joy in his life. He was a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church to the Eastern States Mission in the Kentucky area as a young man and later with his wife Mae in Peoria, Ill., Mission in 2001-2003.
