Kayla Marie Westin, formerly of Hermiston, passed away on Oct. 1, 2022 in Campbellsville, Ky. at the age of 31.
She was born on May 17, 1991 in Hermiston to Ken and Tamie Rupe Kautz.
Kayla lived in the Hermiston area, Boise, Idaho and Spokane, Wash. during her childhood. She married Levi Westin in Umatilla on Aug. 21, 2009 and from this union two children were born: Logan and Lucas. The couple later separated.
Kayla had lived in the Hermiston area and Spokane, Wash. during much of her adult life. She had resided in Campbellsville, Ky. for the past four years.
Kayla enjoyed many hobbies; the most recent one was making tumblers. She enjoyed being a beautician for friends and family. Music and dancing always made her smile, but most of all Kayla enjoyed being a mom to her two sons.
She is survived by her sons, Logan and Lucas Westin; father and stepmother, Ken and Synde Kautz; mother and stepfather, Tamie and Jerry Humphrey; brothers, Kenny and Cory Kautz; sisters, Crystal Piper and Olivia Kautz; and many extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022 at the Victory Lighthouse Church, 1940 N.E. 10th St., Hermiston.
A private family burial will be in the Hermiston Cemetery.
