Kenneth D. “Ken” Pollick died on April 5, 2024 at his home in Hermiston at the age of 84.
He was born on Jan. 9, 1940 in Eureka Springs, Ark. to Eldon Leo Pollick and Nadine Mitchell Pollick.
Ken was raised in Pendleton and later Stanfield, graduating from Stanfield High School in the class of 1958. He then joined the United States Navy and served until his honorable discharge in 1962. Ken then went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad in Portland and soon after was transferred to Hermiston. He was united in marriage to Andrea Giddings on May 23, 1964 in Portland. They have lived in the Hermiston/Stanfield area since. Ken retired from Union Pacific Railroad in 2001.
He was a member of the Umatilla Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, teaching Sunday school, working with the Royal Rangers group, playing cards, music, traveling, puzzles and crocheting.
A celebration of life service with military honors will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church, Umatilla.
