Kenneth Irwin June 6, 1952-Oct. 20, 2013

Kenneth W. “Ken” Irwin died on Oct. 20, 2013 at his home in Hermiston at the age of 61.

He was born on June 6, 1952 in Brewster, Wash., to Donald and Kathleen Hattell Irwin. Ken was raised and attended schools in Umatilla. He then served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge. Ken worked for Wilcox Furniture as an appliance repairman for several years and then later for Garrison’s Appliance where he has working at the time of his death. Ken enjoyed classic cars, fishing, wood cutting, camping, and cherished time with his family.

He is survived by his companion, Sanya Power, Hermiston; son, Kevin Irwin, Hermiston; daughter, Rachael Hannah and husband Cory, Kennewick, Wash.; stepson, Michael Jeppeson and wife Jenny, Hermiston; brother, James Irwin, Hermiston; sisters, Cheryl Irwin, Richland, Wash., Kathy Barton, Kennewick, Wash., Ellen Luntsford, Auburn, Wash., and Sandi Kellar, Irrigon; and grandchildren, Colton, Caleb, Laney, Chloe, Mikayla and Bryson.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Tylor; sister, Karen Schuening; brothers, Ronnie and Donnie Irwin.

A celebration of life potluck gathering will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Irwin Custom Fabrication, 30553 Oldfield Road, Hermiston.
