Kevin Holloway passed away on Nov. 26, 2018 in his home in Kennewick, Wash. at the age of 54.
Kevin was born in Kennewick on Oct. 2, 1964 to Mary Ellen Tompkins and William Whitehead.
He went to school in Stanfield and earned his GED later in life. He was married to Sue Holloway on June 21, 1985 in Hermiston. He spent his early career in freight transportation for Beaver Bark before transitioning to a plant technician for Energy Northwest. Later in life, Kevin desired a career that allowed him to work more closely with people. He trained to be a phlebotomist and was working for Interpath Labs before he passed. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.
Kevin was an avid car and racing enthusiast, earning many trophies. He also enjoyed camping, exploring the outdoors with family and friends, and fishing.
Kevin is survived by the love of his life, Sue Holloway; father, William Whitehead; daughter, Nicole Kauer and her husband Joseph; granddaughter, Madisen Kauer; siblings, James Powney, Jeff Powney, Reta Powney, Karen Counsel and Shelly Bratton.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30 at Burns Mortuary of Hermiston.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at the Hermiston Cemetery, where Kevin will be laid to rest near his mother.
