Kevin Michael Lamoreaux of Umatilla passed away at his home on April 14, 2022 at the age of 60.
He was born on Sept. 9, 1961 in Norfolk, Va. to Hal and Louise Stern Lamoreaux.
Kevin’s father served in the U.S. Navy, and the family lived in many places during his childhood. He lived in Bermuda for much of his early childhood, where he grew up and attended grade school. He graduated from high school in The Dalles in the class of 1979.
In the early 1980s Kevin moved from The Dalles to the Hermiston area, where he worked at a local farm. In 1988 he moved to Umatilla, where he had resided since.
Kevin enjoyed being a volunteer firefighter and an EMT with the Umatilla Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting in his younger years. He also enjoyed tinkering with projects, working with his computer and building models. He was very intrigued by geology and studying rock formations. He also enjoyed going for a ride on his motorcycle.
Kevin married Kellie McNabb in Umatilla on Sept. 25, 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Kellie; son, Ian Lamoreaux; sister, Sandra Weber; brothers, Todd Lamoreaux and Josh Lamoreaux; and many extended family members.
At Kevin’s request, no services will be planned.
