Kim Koops-Lands

Kim Koops-Lands of Boardman passed away peacefully on July 6, 2024 surrounded by her family.

She was born on Aug. 18, 1956 in Grand Coulee, Wash. to Robert Bowers and Eleanor McClain.

Kim was raised in Baker City, where she was a member of the Bakerettes. As a young adult she moved to Prineville, where she raised her boys, Shawn and Ryan. She owned a successful cleaning business and was proud of her accomplishments.

Kim married Jim Lands and they moved to Boardman, where they built their beautiful home.

Kim was an avid gardener and loved to spend time outdoors tending to her gorgeous yard. She was very talented in home interior design and was quite the fashionista. She was always dressed to the nines. Her sense of humor and wit was unmatchable!

She is survived by her husband, Jim Lands; son, Shawn Morton; daughter, Lindsey Lands; sisters, Debbie (Brett) Bowers-Falk, Sonja Hess and Jody Logsdon; brothers, John Bowers and Jim Logsdon; four grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.

Kim was preceded in death by her son, Ryan Lee Morton and parents, Eleanor “Ellie” McClain, Robert Bowers and Joseph Logsdon.

There will be a private celebration of life at a later time.

Kim asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at stjude.org/whoyouhelp.
