Laurel H. “Bud” Wilson of Heppner died on Aug. 29, 2018 in Heppner at the age of 88.
He was born on Feb. 17, 1930 in Centralia, Wash. to Edwin and Doris Butler Wilson.
Bud graduated from Dayville High School in Dayville. He was united in marriage to Delores F. Baker on Sept. 9, 1952 in Lewiston, Idaho. Bud worked as a mechanic/welder for Dennis Logan for many years. They lived in Lexington, Boardman and Hermiston. Bud returned to his roots in Heppner and had lived at Willow Creek Terrace for many years, where he really enjoyed the residents and staff. He enjoyed the mountains, hunting, riding 4-wheelers, reading and playing bingo. Bud loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed watching his great grandchildren’s sporting events.
He is survived by his sons, Danny Wilson and wife Melanie and Donny Wilson and wife April, all of Heppner; daughter, Carmen Wilson, Lexington; brothers, Wayne Wilson and Tracy Wilson, both of Lexington; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bud was preceded in death by his wife Delores in 2008 and his parents.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Lexington Cemetery.
