LaVaughn A. Browning of Hermiston died on Feb. 5, 2020 in Hermiston at the age of 96.
She was born on March 31, 1923 in La Grande to James and Mae Mason Watson.
She was raised and attended schools in La Grande. LaVaughn was united in marriage to Joseph Harry Browning on Sept. 13, 1944 in La Grande. They lived in Kinzua and Gresham for many years. LaVaughn had lived in Hermiston since 2018. She enjoyed sewing, reading, hunting, fishing and bunco.
She is survived by her son, Chuck Robertson, Wilsonville; daughters, Joan Roe, Pendleton and Linda Kincaid, Hermiston; grandchildren, JD, Brian, Krista and Jennifer; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
LaVaughn was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Browning; her parents; and one brother.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020 at 5 p.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston.
A private family burial will be held later at Island City Cemetery.
