Warren “Lee” Kinney of Boardman died on July 27, 2021 in Boise, Idaho at the age of 70.
He was born on Nov. 4, 1950 in Boise, Idaho to Warren and Nora Kinney.
The oldest of nine siblings, he spent his childhood in both Idaho and Kentucky with his family. Lee left home to join the United States Army at the age of 17. Serving from 1967 to 1970, he was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War era.
Lee worked as a mechanic, carpenter and laborer. Over the years he worked for several companies, traveling to many places and taking part in many exciting new developments and builds. He took pride in every job he was a part of. Showing his friends and family the buildings, roads and developments he helped create brought him so much joy.
Lee was a jack of all trades, but a talented craftsman was at the top of the list. His work is displayed in one way or another at the homes of almost everyone who knew him. From yard decor, trinkets, toy trains and baby cradles to picture frames, mirrors, shelves and canes, sharing his creations with others was his favorite thing to do.
Lee was a devoted husband to his wife, Cinda, who he shared the last 35 years of his life with. Together they built a life, a home and a love that will forever be cherished. He was a kind and loving father to his four daughters, Lori, Melanie, Sara and Katie. As much pride as he took in being a father, being a grandfather truly made his heart soar.
Kind, honorable, talented, loving and loyal are just a few words that sum up the man he was. He was truly a friend to everyone and will be missed by so many.
