Francis “Lee” Lisle of Hermiston died on March 9, 2021 in Richland, Wash. at the age of 76.
He was born on March 5, 1945 in Fairbury, Neb. to Robert and Ada Ketterer Lisle.
Lee served during Vietnam in the United States Navy in a Seabee unit from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1967. He was united in marriage to Lucille “Lucy” LaPlant on May 10, 1969 in Lincoln, Neb. They welcomed their only child, daughter Tracie, in 1971. The family moved to Hermiston in 1973, and Lee started his career at the Umatilla Army Depot shortly thereafter. He worked as a mechanical technician before retiring with 35 years of service.
Lee enjoyed fishing, the ocean, bird hunting, working in his yard, and being outdoors. He cherished time with his family, socializing with friends and was a great storyteller who had a good sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lucy Lisle, Hermiston; daughter, Tracie Lutz, Lincoln, Neb.; one grandson, Chase; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents.
At his request, there will be no service.
