Limited COVID-19 Vaccines Available for UCo Residents 80 and Older

Umatilla County will be receiving an allocation of approximately 400 Moderna COVID-19 vaccines designated for persons 80 and older and will begin offering vaccinations next week in three cities.

Walk-in vaccinations will be available at Good Shepherd Health Care System in Hermiston on Friday, Feb. 12 beginning at 7 a.m. No appointment will be necessary.

Vaccination appointments will be offered in Hermiston at Mirasol Family Health Center, in Pendleton at the Umatilla County Public Health and in Milton-Freewater by Umatilla County Public Health at the Milton-Freewater Community Building.

To make an appointment in Hermiston, contact Mirasol Family Health Center after 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8. A dedicated phone line for appointments in Milton-Freewater and Pendleton will open at 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8 and will close when all available appointments have been filled.

Bilingual Spanish-speaking staff are available to schedule appointments. As COVID-19 vaccination appointments may only be scheduled through the contact numbers below, the public is asked to refrain from calling the Umatilla County Health office regarding vaccination appointments.

Hermiston

County health officials are asking the public to refrain from calling the county office with questions regarding vaccine eligibility, but instead visit its website, social media and Oregon Health Authority’s COVID-19 Vaccination webpage for information on COVID-19 vaccine eligibility and availability. Residents who prefer to receive this information by phone are asked to call 211.
