Linda K. Bond of Irrigon died on Dec. 1, 2023 in Hood River at the age of 75.
She was born on Aug. 30, 1948 in Hood River to Wesley Walton and Nita Nida.
She was raised in Hood River Valley and attended high school there, which is where she met her high school sweetheart, love of her life and husband, Donald Duane Bond.
Linda was an amazing mother, wife, grandma, sister, and aunt. The love she had for her family was absolutely beyond what any words could describe. She came from a large family of her own, having five brothers and four sisters. You could say that she was a piece of a puzzle or glue that kept her family together and still exists to this day. She loved gardening, crafts, sewing, fishing, four-wheeling, hunting, and camping. If it meant spending time with her family and loved ones, she would be there. She had a huge love for life and making memories.
She is survived by her partner, Tom Bailey; daughters, Kim Jones and Tracey Ansotegui; son, Kevin Bond; grandchildren, Kadee, Kelsey, Marissa, Jacob, and Hunter; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob and Micheal; and sisters, Virginia and Margarete.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Walton and Nita Nida; husband, Donald Bond; brothers, Doug, Dick, and Donald; and sisters, Barbara and Carol.
She was loved so very much and will greatly be missed and never forgotten.
