Girls in kindergarten through the 12th grade and their families who are interested in joining Girl Scouts are invited to an evening of games and a barbecue Saturday, Oct. 1, at McKenzie Park in Hermiston.
Admission to the event is free. It is hosted by local members of Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington as a way to kick off a new membership year. Guests can come anytime between 4 and 6 p.m. to learn more about the organization. There will be information on how both girls and adults can become involved in Girl Scouts.
