The Hermiston School District and Irrigon and Umatilla Little League were among the 30 recipients of grant money from the Wildhorse Foundation.
The foundation, a community benefit fund of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, gave out $176,000 to 30 organizations in the third quarter of this year.
The Irrigon Little League received $7,000 to expand the youth sports field complex. Umatilla received $7,000 to upgrade a Little League field.
Hermiston School District received $5,000 for its outdoor school program. The Hermiston Inland Northwest Musicians received $3,000 to help students of Umatilla, Morrow and Wallowa counties.
