Local responders will hold an emergency drill on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
St. Anthony Hospital, local fire and ambulance departments, along with LifeFlight will participate. The emergency drill will help local agencies practice their emergency response plans, communications and the ability to handle a mass casualty incident.
The exercise will take place near Pendleton and will start around 1 p.m. Local residents may see emergency vehicles, such as fire trucks, police vehicles and ambulances.
Residents are asked not call 911 unless they need assistance from emergency services. 911 should only be called for events such as a fire, crime, car crash, or medical emergency requiring immediate attention. In the event of an actual emergency, the public can listen to local TV and radio broadcasts for information and instructions.
