Lonnie Marvin Mayes of Umatilla passed away in Kennewick, Wash. on Oct. 31, 2021 at the age of 46.
He was born on Feb. 22, 1975 in Hermiston to Johnnie and Phyllis Beck Mayes.
Lonnie grew up in Hermiston, where he attended and completed his schooling. He had lived in Eastern Oregon his entire life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Lonnie also enjoyed cooking and haying on his father’s farm.
He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Mayes of Umatilla; sons, Shawn Mayes of Umatilla and Michael Brandbold of Pendleton; daughters, Rebecca Ann Mayes of Hermiston and Alisa Mattozzi of Colville, Wash.; seven grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Mayes of Tulalip, Wash.; sister of the heart, Courtney Harpster of Hermiston; sister, Tanya Greene Urban of Amboy, Wash.; and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Mayes, and grandparents, Ernest and Leta Mayes and Bill and Frances Beck.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021 at the Lexington Cemetery.
