Loretta M. Dyer of Hermiston died on Dec. 6, 2021 in Hermiston at the age of 82.
She was born on March 30, 1939 in Emmett, Idaho to Clyde and Judith Vondy Moyer.
Loretta was raised in Hermiston. She was united in marriage to Jerry Dyer on Jan. 15, 1955 in Hermiston. Loretta was a stay-at-home mom, raising her children before working at the Hermiston Herald for over 20 years.
She enjoyed dancing, playing pinochle, camping, going to the mountains, gardening, sewing and jig saw puzzles. Loretta cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jerry Dyer, Hermiston; sons, Rick, Darrell, Duane and Jerry, all of Hermiston; daughter, Katherine Ramirez, Hillsboro; brother, Roy Moyer, Milton-Freewater; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shari Schneider; brothers, Frank and Douglas Moyer; a daughter, Ronda Dyer Brockett; a granddaughter, Mackenzie Dyer; and a grandson, Duane Dyer.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021 at 3 p.m. at the Hermiston Cemetery.
